Cleanup dives

Through the cleanup dives the team has collected a large amount of waste from the fishing and leisure craft industries.

The Project

With the focus now on the Blue Economy, we must all do our part to leave our oceans in a better state than we found them. The Ocean Cleanup Project aims to do just that through the removal of marine debris and education of the youth and fishermen of Seychelles on the impact of marine pollution.

Three young professional sea cucumber divers became increasingly frustrated with the amount of rubbish they kept finding on their dives. So they decided they had to play their part to remove it and to educate young people and fishermen about the impact of ocean pollution.
